Paeniu won the election by an historic margin of ten votes.

The Prime Minister's landslide election Wednesday morning was presided over by Tuvalu's Governor-General, Sir Tulaga Manuella.

Following an afternoon swearing-in ceremony, Paeniu announced his new cabinet, which remains virtually unchanged.

Funafuti MP Ionatana Ionatana remains Minister for Health, Women and Community Affairs and Minister for Education and Culture.

The third portfolio he held, Minister for Tourism, Trade and Commerce, has been transferred to Nui MP Alesana Kleis Seluka, who retained his former portfolio of Finance and Economic Planning.
