New Flight Schedule in Effect for Tuvalu

FUNAFUTI, Tuvalu (February 1999 - The Tuvalu Echoes)---The SAAB 2000 aircraft of the Airline of the Marshall Islands (AMI), which is presently leased to Air Vanuatu, has started a new flight schedule to Funafuti.

The Saab 2000 replaced the HS 748, the aircraft used by AMI when it operated the Majuro-Tarawa-Funafuti-Nadi route.

A spokesperson from the Tuvalu Travel Office said that the Saab 2000 initiated its new flight schedule on January 29, flying between Funafuti and Nadi only on Wednesdays and Fridays.
